EDUCATIONAL CONFERENCES

   

The 2008 ISTA-China Packaging Symposium will be held October 21-22 at the West International Grand Hotel in Beijing. Now in its fourth year, this Symposium has become the outstanding transport packaging educational event in China and throughout Asia. CPLP WORKSHOPS

                

The ISTA Certified Packaging Laboratory Professional (CPLP) program encourages and recognizes the expertise of those working in and associated with package testing laboratories. Over 400 Certificates have been awarded to date in the three CPLP levels — Technician, Technologist, and Professional.

The typical approach to CPLP certification is through a self-paced self-study program, either with printed materials or on-line. In-person Workshops are held several times a year, however, for those who prefer that format.

CPLP Workshops in Aguascalientes, Mexico
June 2008

These workshops, held at the Aguascalientes campus of Tecnológico de Monterrey, were very successful and enjoyable.  There were a total of 13 people in the Technician session, and 10 in the Technologist.  Tentative plans are to hold similar workshops at this same location late in 2008.  Check here for information as it becomes available, or e-mail Lisa Bonsignore for the latest status. 
   

CPLP Workshops at the 2008 ISTA-China Packaging Symposium

Both Technician and Technologist workshops will be held on October 20, the day before the Symposium officially begins. Mr. Han Xueshan of ISTA-China will present the Technician material and exam in Chinese, while Mr. Bill Kipp of ISTA-U.S. will present the Technologist material and exam in English (with supplementary Chinese translation available). The classes run concurrently, so it is not possible for one person to take both.
