Now available! The ISTA Pharma Committee and Lane Management Working Group have prepared the ISTA PCW-01 Lane Management Whitepaper to:
  1. Introduce the concept of Lane Management
  2. Establish a definition for Lane Management
  3. Provide an overview of the lifecycle approach to Lane Management
There are various industry guidance documents on the transport of temperature-sensitive products, but until now, there was no industry guidance or position documents on the topic of Lane Management.

We are now accepting nominations for the R. David LeButt Award, which honors packaging professionals for their outstanding contributions to education in transport packaging. The deadline for nominations is January 31, 2024. The selected recipient will be honored at ISTA's Annual Forum, April 22-24, 2024 in San Diego, California!
 





The ISTA Educational Foundation (ISTAEF) is seeking undergraduate research proposals focusing on minimizing product damage throughout distribution and optimizing resource usage through effective package design. ISTAEF will award two research grants of $4,500 each for Fall 2024 projects.

The submission deadline is March 29, 2024. Recipients of the grants will be announced at the 2024 ISTA Forum!
 





The 2023 ISTA China Packaging Symposium held in late October in Huagnshan, Anhui, was a resounding success, bringing together leading minds in the packaging industry. Organized by the International Safe Transit Association China Division and presented by the China Packaging Research & Test Center and China Packaging Research Institute, the event covered key topics such as ISTA test procedures, transport packaging design, e-commerce packaging, standardization, packaging design, cold-chain testing, and sustainable development.

Last month, Packaging professionals from around the globe gathered at the ISTA Asia-Pacific Packaging Symposium in Jeju Island, South Korea for presentations on sustainable packaging for transit, circular economy, advanced AI in packaging, load stability, and ISTA educational, research, and standards programs.
