Amazon is further committing to its sustainability goals by expanding its Frustration-Free Packaging Program, which will incentivize more vendors to use pre-shipment testing to minimize waste and ensure damage-free delivery.
The program expansion was announced June 1, 2021 for North America and is expected to expand to Europe later this year. Products starting as small as 6 x 4 x 0.375 inches can now qualify for the program. Since 2015, Amazon has reduced the weight of outbound packaging by 36% and eliminated more than 1 million tons of packaging material — the equivalent of 2 billion shipping boxes. ISTA is proud to partner with Amazon to help educate more people on the importance of pre-shipment testing and the value of reducing damage during transport. PackSight Custom Test Builder Coming Soon On Wednesday, July 21 from 1:30-2:30, the ISTA and Specright team will conduct a live demo of PackSight’s powerful new custom test builder feature that makes it easy for you to customize a test specific to your distribution chain. This webinar will also cover new enhancements to the tool’s reporting and delivery capabilities, including adding hi-res photos, videos and online password protected reporting links you can share with your team and customers.
