SUBMIT AN ABSTRACT
ISTA has received a request for maintenance of Procedure 3E, Similar Packaged-Products in Unitized Loads for Truckload Shipment. This proposal, including both editorial and technical changes, has been approved by the ISTA Standards Council for consideration by the ISTA Test Series Group (consensus body).
As part of our established process for protocol creation and maintenance, we are forming an ad hoc workgroup to develop draft documents for voting. See below for detailed information on the procedure change request.
The workgroup will kick off the week of June 3rd, and participation is open to all interested parties at any time.
The ISTA Standards Council is seeking anonymous feedback on protocols 3A, 3E, and 6-Amazon.com-SIOC as part of its 2025 Annual Protocol Review. All industry professionals are invited to take a short survey and share insights to help the Standards Council better understand how these protocols are used, assess their effectiveness, and identify opportunities for both technical and editorial improvements.
ISTA is currently seeking volunteers to join the Test Series Group (TSG), a vital part of our technical community. Participation in the TSG offers a unique opportunity to stay informed on the latest developments in transport packaging and to actively contribute to the technical matters that impact the Packaging Industry.
The TSG serves as ISTA’s consensus body, responsible for voting on proposed new ISTA Test Protocols, technical revisions to existing and reaffirmation of existing ISTA Protocols as well as the addition & termination of TSG members. Membership is open to both ISTA members and non-members to ensure balance and openness.

The 2025 ISTA China Packaging Symposium will be held September 8–11 at The Phoenix City Hotel in Guangzhou, China.
