The ISTA Educational Foundation is thrilled to announce Paul G. Russell as the recipient of this year’s R. David LeButt Award, which honors packaging professionals for their excellence and continuing education in transport packaging.

“Paul Russell has been a stalwart supporter of packaging, dynamics and education for his whole career,” said ISTAEF Board of Director, Nora Crivello of WESTPAK. “He believes in the tenants of teaching and sharing information, which is so vital to our industry. We are incredibly proud to honor Paul with this award and induct him into this league of legends.”

Paul will be recognized for his tremendous impact on packaging education at the 2022 ISTA Forum, April 11-13 in San Diego, CA.

If you would like to contribute to ISTA and the Packaging industry by volunteering, ISTA’s Test Series Group (TSG) is a great place to start. The TSG is ISTA’s consensus body responsible for voting on proposed new ISTA Test Protocols, technical revisions to existing and reaffirmation of existing ISTA Protocols as well as the addition & termination of TSG members. To ensure balance and openness, involvement in the TSG is open to ISTA members and non-members.

We want to hear from you! As part of ISTA’s 2022 annual protocol review, the Standards Council is seeking your feedback, through a brief survey, on protocols 3A, 3B, and 3E. The information will be reviewed by the Standards Council to help understand how the protocols are utilized, effectiveness, as well as to identify both Technical and Editorial improvement opportunities. Your participation and feedback are appreciated!

 



Are you using the most current ISTA Test Procedure?  

We keep the “ISTA Procedure Changes & Development” page on the ISTA website updated with any important corrections, changes, and edits for all procedures. We encourage all users to check this page to be sure you are aware of any technical or editorial changes and are using the most current version.
