Program Announcement! The 2021 ISTA Asia Pacific Packaging Symposium will be held December 2nd in Jeon-ju, South Korea as a hybrid (online/in person) event. The Symposium is hosted by ISTA, Korea Conformity Lab (KCL), Jeon-ju University, organized by ISTA Asia Pacific Division and supported by Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, FOODPOLIS, KOPEA, LogisAll group, Korea Society of Packaging Science and Technology (KOPAST), GU (Lansmont Korea), and Yonsei University. The ISTA European Division Board is pleased to announce it has organized the following webinars focused on transport packaging with the European market in mind. The webinars will be presented this November, December and January and are open and complimentary to anyone interested in attending!












 

 



The ISTA Educational Foundation (ISTAEF) is seeking nominations for the R. David LeButt Award. This prestigious award honors packaging professionals in recognition of their excellence and continuing education in transport packaging. The R. David LeButt Award was established in 1999 in the memory of Dave LeButt, who served as an ISTA officer and participated in, and realized, the importance of packaging education. Do you know someone who has made notable contributions to education in transport packaging? Nominate them below! Nomination deadline is January 31, 2022.

The ISTA European Packaging Symposium program is now available! Join us 1-3 March, 2022 in Berlin, Germany as we explore the future of effective package design. ICYMI: The ISTA Pharma Committee recently hosted its annual Technical Exchange meetings. In the first session, the Pharma Committee provided an update to the industry on the committee’s latest activities and the second session was an open industry discussion about the latest industry trends and ISTA Standard 20 and 7E. LTL Hazard Data Collection Project
Submissions due December 6, 2021

We're now seeking bids on the following research project: LTL Hazard Data Collection. The objective of this research project is to measure, the hazards encountered by LTL (less than truckload) freight in their standard handling, transport and delivery environment not adequately covered, or supported by field data, in the existing ISTA 3B standard.
